More Halo on the way suggests OXM rumour mill.
Halo studio 343 Industries is working on an anniversary edition of 2004′s Halo 2, so says Official Xbox Magazine.
The print publication ran ‘Halo 2: Anniversary’ in its rumour column stating: “Following the success of remake Halo: Anniversary, 343 Industries has now started development of Halo 2: Anniversary.”
Note that the original was released in 2004 meaning the game could be in development for a 2014 release and could be tied into Microsoft’s next-generation system.
Halo 2 enjoyed a good stint on the original Xbox introducing online play into the Halo series and was eventually released on PC in 2007.
343 is currently putting the finishing touches on its own Halo title, Halo 4 due to launch this November.
With a new trilogy in the works, will 343 have enough time or man power to pump out another Anniversary title so soon after Combat Evolved?
