Hard Drive is highly recommended for optimal experience.
Microsoft has warned Halo 4 fans to free up some space on their hard drives, the game will require at least 8GB of free space to play its multiplayer modes.
“At a minimum, you’ll need at least an 8GB USB Flash Drive or an Xbox 360 Hard Drive to play Multiplayer mode in Halo 4,” said Microsoft via a product listing.
“For an optimal experience playing with an Xbox 360 Hard Drive is highly recommended.”
Though it hasn’t specificially stated why 8gb of hard drive space is needed for Halo 4′s Infinity multiplayer, it’s likely that the Spartan Ops mode, which will update on a regular basis with new missions, might be what’s demanding an 8GB chunk of your hard drive.
While most Xbox 360 gamers should be sitting on a comfortable amount of storage already, anyone with a 4GB Xbox 360 or a 20GB HDD may want to seek out an 8GB USB stick before launch.
Halo 4 will launch exclusively on Xbox 360 on November 6th.
