Sega has confirmed that Platinum Games’ Vanquish has failed to top the 1 million sales mark.
Revealed in the company’s profits and revenue detailed, Vanquish sold 820,000 copies since launching in mid-October 2010.
The game, directed by Resident Evil producer Shinji Mikami made waves for its fast-paced take on the typically gruelling slow cover shooter.
We scored the game an impressive 80% calling it "a short but sweet ride that rewards in its own unique ways".
Developer Platinum Games is currently hard at work on multiplayer action title ‘Anarchy Reigns’.
Vanquish is available on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
