Tesco has fired the first shots announcing it will be taking Modern Warfare 3 pre-orders from midnight tonight.
The high-street retailer has slapped a £44.90 price tag on the game and is offering Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare for £10 when you pre-order.
Mega-stores such as Tesco, Sainsburies and ASDA have become increasingly competitive in securing the lowest price on major videogame releases day one.
Expect to see similar shenanigans from other retailers as we near the game’s November launch.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 launches on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on November 8.
