THQ has confirmed that Saints Row 3 will be released during Q3 this year.
"In the fall, we plan to release the latest instalment of our Saints Row franchise, which we view as a significant growth driver in fiscal 2012," revealed THQ’s CEO, Brian Farrell in a call to investors.
"Volition is setting a new bar for this outstanding franchise and we look forward to unveiling this game in the near future."
Saints Row was originally an Xbox 360 exclusive, but the sequel appeared on PlayStation 3 and PC as well. The third iteration will follow the same path and will feature the same ‘off the wall’ open-world gameplay.
With the provisional release window only months away, gamers should expect to hear more about Saints Row 3 soon.
