Capcom is hoping that opting for digital releases of both Resident Evil 4 and Code Veronica X will lower the entry point for consumers.
In Japan, both HD ports of Nintendo Gamecube favourite Resident Evil 4 and PlayStation 2 hit Resident Evil: Code Veronica X titles will be released on a single disc titled the ‘Bioharzard Revival Selection’.
However, in North America and Europe, both will be released separately on Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network.
“For the western release, we wanted the entry point to be much lower so rather than charge $50 for a disc release we will have more attractive price digitally,” said Capcom US SVP, Christian Svensson. “It’s better value for money and we’d reach more people with it.”
Both Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil: Code Veronica will feature Achievement and Trophy support and due to launch on both platforms later this year.
