Alan Wake creators Remedy have a “groundbreaking AAA console project” in development, a new job listing has revealed.
Posted on the developer’s website, the job ad reveals that the game will be built on the “next iteration of Remedy’s in-house engine”, previously used to power Alan Wake and upcoming XBLA spin-off Alan Wake’s American Nightmare.
“We want your help in taking our artificial intelligence, character & enemy behavior (sic) to the next level,” reads the job ad, adding that successful candidates will “get to work with world-class game technology”.
Unfortunately, there aren’t any pointers as to what this new game could be, although whether it’s Alan Wake 2 is open for debate.
In June last year, it was revealed that the developer hadn’t yet struck a deal with Microsoft to release a direct sequel to the horror shooter.
Alongside this unannounced title, Remedy currently has two other games confirmed to be in the works: Alan Wake’s American Nightmare, due for release on Xbox Live Arcade during the network’s ‘House Party’ season next month, and a PC version of the original Alan Wake.
