Jim Boone, senior producer on Red Faction Guerilla, has told Gamerzines that destruction is his team’s ‘calling card’.
Speaking in an exclusive interview at last week’s THQ’s Gamers’ Week in New York, Boone said "Our big thing is that we know that people love destruction, that’s kind of our calling card, so anything we can do to help maximise that destruction is our goal.
"One of the most interesting things about that is us putting a lot of the game underground. Not all of it is underground, but around 80%, and what that allows us to do is to put destructibles everywhere. We can have them in the walls and the ceiling, just really trying to maximise the destruction. We’ve really enjoyed that aspect of it."
Red Faction Armageddon is out in May 2011 on PS3 and 360, and is quite possibly the most destructive game ever made.
