Rockstar San Diego is currently developing another open world game, new job advertisements have revealed, prompting speculation that the developer could be working on a sequel to 2010′s epic open world western Red Dead Redemption.
The three job ads appeared over the weekend, with two of them specifically mentioning that candidates will be required to work on open world games.
A sequel to Red Dead Redemption seems likely – according to new figures released by Take Two last week, the game has sold 13 million units. The game also won numerous awards and was one of 2010′s highest-rated games with a Metacritic rating of 95.
But Red Dead Redemption isn’t the only open worlder that’s been developed by Rockstar San Diego.
The studio also created open world racing series’ Midnight Club and Smuggler’s Run.
A sequel to Bully, which was developed by Rockstar Vancouver, was also hinted at by Rockstar boss Dan Houser last year. Could San Diego be working on that?
Rockstar North, of course, is currently developing Grand Theft Auto V. The game is expected to be released later this year.
