Harmonix has announced that a 2.0 version of the Rock Band Network, the game’s track creator, will be released on February 15.
The update will allow players to add keyboard parts to their songs as well as Pro Drums, vocal harmonies and more.
It appears all songs currently in-process for the service must be completed by February 14 before the switch to v 2.0.
What does this mean for current Rock Band fans?
Any content created for Rock Band Network version 2.0 will only be compatible with Rock Band 3 so if you’ve held off making the jump from any prior versions of the game, now might be a good time to consider it.
Rock Band 3 launched on most major platforms in October 2010.
