Criterion Games have announced that within the two weeks of its availability, the Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit demo has raked in a staggering number of two million players.
Those that downloaded the demo were provided with the opportunity to compete as either cops or racers across two events, whilst being able to sample the game’s revolutionary social network, Need for Speed Autolog, which allowed players to connect and compete with friends.
Further stats released regarding the demo are as follows:
* More than 2 million downloads on console within two weeks – the fastest downloaded Need for Speed demo in history,
* More than 700,000 posts to the Speed Wall,
* More than 5 million Autolog Recommendations sent from friend-to-friend,
* 54 million miles of road raced,
* 20 million cop busts executed.
