As announced last month, Red Dead Redemption fans are in for a special treat this September as Rockstar are releasing a new bout of DLC to celebrate the game’s on-going success.
Today that content package has been detailed further.
The ‘Myths and Mavericks Bonus Pack’ will feature new fan-favourite, according to the press release, multiplayer characters and new maps for Deathmatch, Grab the Bag, Gang matches and other online modes. All without needing to pay a fee.
Additionally the Undead Overrun multiplayer mode will also revert back to its original launch settings, via a content update, in accordance with player feedback.
Red Dead Redemption was released to widespread critical acclaim last year and the expansion Undead Nightmare also attracted a lot of positive attention.
No doubt this open-world Wild West title has done wonders for Rockstar and it’s good to see that the game is still being supported with post release DLC, even though it’s over 12 months old at this point, and for free no less!
If this is to be the last update for Red Dead Redemption, it’s a very nice send off to a fantastic video game treat.
Now if only Rockstar would get cracking on a PC version, then everyone would be happy…
