It would seem that a CVG ‘Debate’ article asking whether readers would purchase Shenmue 3 if it were to be developed has caught the attention of Mike Hayes, president of SEGA West.
With nearly 100 positive comments in response, Hayes was keen to reveal that he had noted reaction to the topic and contributed his own tease by saying "Never say never…" in regards to the Shenmue series returning.
"While at present we have no plans for the franchise on next-gen consoles," Hayes commented. "The response to CVG’s question has certainly shown the Shenmue legacy ignites a lot of passion among fans. Never say never…"
