Infinity Ward’s Robert Bowling has revealed more locations where Modern Warfare 3 will be set, revealing that parts of the battle will be fought in Russia, Africa and the Himalayas.
"In Modern Warfare 3 we’re taking the scale to an entirely new level," said Bowling during Modern Warfare 3′s unveiling at a press conference held earlier this week.
"We’re taking players to the heart of major cities all around the world and delivering urban combat in places like Manhattan and London like you’ll see here shortly.
"We’re also going throughout the whole of Europe, Russia, parts of Africa, the Himalayas; it’s truly a conflict that travels the globe."
Only locations in England, America, France and Germany had been revealed up until now.
Sledgehammer Games co-founder Glen Schofield also revealed the first official details about the game’s story while introducing "Black Tuesday", a mission set in the heart of New York.
"Modern Warfare 3 picks up right after Modern Warfare 2. DC is burning, Task Force 141 is either dead or on the run and battles wage on the eastern sea board of the United States. And it’s here in Manhattan where you join with your Delta team to help turn the tide against the Russians who have occupied New York City."
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 launches on November 8th 2011 on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. The game is being developed by Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Games.
