Microsoft cans US Inside XboxMicrosoft has ceased production of its Inside Xbox programmes in the United States.

The series of first-party shows, which were broadcast via Xbox Live, will no longer be available in the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, according to Xbox’s Larry “Major Nelson” Hyrb.

“We want to express our sincere appreciation to all of our viewers and fans of Inside Xbox, and remain committed to providing our members with access to high-quality news and information via the console, cosial media channels and Xbox.com,” said Hyrb.

“This decision was not made lightly. Our teams working on Inside Xbox have done a great job connecting with our members and delivering high-quality, informative game news and tips. We thank them all for their contributions to the Xbox Live community and wish them all the best in their future endeavours.”

The affected programmes include Insider Moves, Featured Videos, The Family Show and Major’s Minute.

The future of the UK version of Inside Xbox is still undecided, according to Hyrb, who states “Xbox LIVE in EMEA is currently looking at its operating model for Inside Xbox… [which] could potentially result in some changes”.

Sent U A Message host Dan Maher, who also acts as the EMEA Xbox Live Editor, thanked fans “for all the concerned/supportive messages.

“Nothing to announce yet, but the next episode of What’s In Store is the only update that will hit Inside Xbox over the next week.”

Microsoft will continue to broadcast third-party content.
