The first DLC pack for Mass Effect 3 may have been revealed by US retailer GameStop, who are reportedly selling activation codes ahead of the game’s launch on March 9th.
Named on the receipt as ‘FromDust’, Joystiq reports that their source paid $10 for the DLC – but there isn’t any clue as to what the content might include.
BioWare has already confirmed that the mysterious bonus character and mission included with Mass Effect 3′s Collector’s Edition will also be sold separately, but hasn’t said when it will be available or what the pack is called.
Could that be From Dust? Or could From Dust be something else entirely?
Mass Effect 3′s Associate Producer Mike Gamble told us a couple of weeks ago that DLC plans hadn’t yet been communicated with retailers, but said the team has plans to “create engaging story-based DLC just like ME2″.
He also confirmed that reports on BioWare’s plans to bundle DLC with figurines were ‘inaccurate’.
Mass Effect 3 tells the story of humanity’s struggle against The Reapers, a machine-like race who cleanse the galaxy of life every 50,000 years.
The game launches on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC on March 9th.
