Owners of Splinter Cell Conviction will receive one week’s early access to the upcoming Ghost Recon: Future Soldier beta, Ubisoft has told GamerZines.
Speaking at a recent preview event in London, Future Soldier’s Associate Producer Yann Suquet reassured us that owning Conviction isn’t required to get into the beta, as has been implied previously, “but having it will give you more time to enjoy it.”
Splinter Cell Conviction launched in April 2010, when Ghost Recon: Future Soldier was still on track for release later that year.
The game shipped with a leaflet informing owners that they had “secured an invitation to be among the first to play the highly anticipated beta”, with an original due date of summer 2010.
The beta, of course, was pushed back along with the game. It’s finally due to go live on Xbox Live and PlayStation Network at some point in April, with the game releasing on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 the following month in May.
A PC version will follow at a later date.
