Far Cry 3 will launch in Europe on September 6th, according to an official trailer that leaked online this afternoon.
The CGI trailer, which wasn’t supposed to go live until tomorrow, detailed how the game’s protagonist Jason Brody first ended up on the island and how he evaded capture from resident mental Vaas.
It’s since been pulled thanks to a copyright claim by Ubisoft.
September 6th is a Thursday, the day games usually launch in mainland Europe. Expect the UK release to follow a day later on Friday September 7th.
Far Cry 3 is currently in development for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC, with rumours that a Wii U version may someday see the light of the day.
The game tracks the adventures of Brody as he attempts to rescue his girlfriend from the clutches of Vaas while surviving the dangers of the mysterious paradise island.
If you missed the trailer, make sure you look out for it tomorrow.
