Sega has confirmed to Game Informer magazine that the rumoured Dreamcast Collection is coming soon.
A GameStop listing recently hinted at a collection of Dreamcast classics coming to psychical retail but Sega’s VP of sales and marketing Alan Pritchard confirmed the collection.
Pritchard says the success of the Ultimate Mega Drive Collection spurred Sega to put together another one.
"The Dreamcast fans are very devoted. You see on eBay people are still buying the games and system," he said.
"We actually have a Dreamcast collection coming out soon. We are looking to bring some of the old Dreamcast games to market digitally and packaged."
Pritchard added that the titles to be included in the collection are still to be announced.
It is suggested that the collection will include the already available Sonic Adventure and Crazy Taxi as well as the upcoming digital releases of Sega Bass Fishing and Space Channel 5 Part 2.
According to the original GameStop listing, the Dreamcast Collection is due for release in February 2011 so we’ll see if that date sticks.
