Square Enix has confirmed and detailed information teased last week about Deus Ex: Human Revolution’s first instalment of downloadable content due next month.
Titled ‘The Missing Link’, players will see players witness the events that occur when lead character Adam Jensen mysteriously vanishes for three days.
The Missing Link will see Adam stripped of his augmentation powers forcing players to rely on basic abilities to escape a freighter. The content promises new characters, new environments and more shocking revelations.
“We are very excited for Deus Ex: Human Revolution fans to be able to further develop Adam’s journey in the game with The Missing Link DLC,” said David Anfossi, the game’s producer at Eidos-Montreal.
“Gamers will be able to experience a vulnerable side of Adam like never before, which gives the overall game a whole new dimension. The Missing Link propels players into compelling gameplay, beginning with Adam being temporarily stripped of his use of augmentations, new, visually stunning environments and the continuation of Deus Ex: Human Revolution’s conspiracy rich story.”
Fans will be able to get a hold of ‘The Missing Link’ when it goes live in October for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, and OnLive.
