British development studio The Creative Assembly is hiring for ‘next next’ generation console programmers, a job listing has revealed.
According to the advert, which is listed on the Total War developer’s website, the company is “seeking a console programmer who is interested in pushing the boundaries of next (and ‘next next’) generation consoles to their limits”.
Creative Assembly is currently known to be working on a game set in the Alien universe and a new game in the Total War series.
But according to other job listings, the company also has other “unannounced projects” in the works as well.
With SEGA set to release Gearbox Software’s Aliens: Colonial Marines at some point this year, could the Aliens project find its way onto Microsoft and Sony’s next-generation consoles?
The Creative Assembly revelation isn’t the only next-gen-related news this morning.
Earlier today, Square Enix called for improved community management in next-generation consoles.
Neither Microsoft or Sony have yet announced plans for their next-generation consoles, although rumours are pointing towards an E3 reveal for Microsoft’s next Xbox.
