Creative Assembly’s upcoming Alien title will launch on both “current and future generation consoles”, according to a new job advertisement listed by the studio.
The job ad for a Multiplayer/Gameplay Programmer, which is posted on the developer’s website, seeks an individual to work “on a AAA multi-platform title on current and future generation consoles set in the Alien universe.”
A simultaneous Xbox 360/Durango release for its upcoming Alien title, then, seems likely.
Creative Assembly has never ruled out the possibility of its Alien game heading to next-generation consoles, telling MCV that it had an “open mind” about which platforms it would release on during its unveiling last May.
Then, in January of this year, GamerZines revealed that the studio was hiring programmers to work on “next next generation consoles”.
Creative Assembly’s Aliens title has yet to be officially shown by SEGA, and speculation is still running rife as to what type of game it could be. Given the studio’s history, many expect it to be an action-RTS.
Earlier in the week, Creative Assembly stated that the game would be a “big console game” developed by a “more rock ‘n’ roll” team.
Company of Heroes 2, Batman: Arkham Origins, Grand Theft Auto V, Watch_Dogs, Beyond: Two Souls and Night of the Rabbit previews.
