Activision has announced that over 14 million map packs for Call of Duty: Black Ops have been sold.
Making the announcement during their Q2 Financial call, this 14 million figure is spread over three map packs ‘First Strike’, ‘Escalations’, and ‘Annihilation.
According to Activision, this number is up 40 percent over the sales of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
Activision will launch a fourth map pack for Black Ops ‘Rezurrection’ on Xbox 360 on August 23.
Microsoft struck a deal with Activision in 2010 to secure timed-exclusivity to all Call of Duty map packs until 2012.
