EA has said it’s confident they have the better developer and better game when Battlefield 3 goes head-to-head with Call of Duty this holiday.
The publisher said it was going to support Battlefield 3 with a strong marketing campaign during its Q4 2011 financial call.
When discussing the threat of competition from the upcoming Call of Duty title, EA stated they were confident they had a better developer (DICE) and that Battlefield 3 would be the better game.
"We know we have a big competitor. But head-to-head with Call of Duty in Q3, we have the superior game engine, a superior development studio, and flat out superior game."
Battlefield 3, currently in development with DICE Stockholm, uses the new Frostbite 2 game engine.
Activision has not confirmed which studio is working on this holiday’s upcoming Call of Duty although news is expected to drop either before or at E3 in June.
