Rocksteady’s BAFTA award-winning Batman: Arkham City is set to receive a Game of the Year Edition re-release next month, Warner Bros. has confirmed, containing every piece of previously released content as well as a new add-on themed around Joker’s seductive lover Harley Quinn.
Described by Warner Bros. as Batman: Arkham City’s “final chapter”, “Harley Quinn’s Revenge” follows the leather-clad vixen’s exploits around Arkham City, with the trailer suggesting that players will get to face off against Batman outside the ‘Shrine of Joker’.
Harley Quinn’s Revenge joins the previously released Catwoman, Robin and Nightwing DLC add-ons, plus the Arkham City Skin & Challenge Map Pack. All will be included on the Game of the Year Edition re-release.
As well as additional game content, the Game of the Year Edition also features a digital download of animated Batman movie ‘Batman: Year One’.
The game has been dated for release in the US on May 29th. Expect Harley Quinn’s Revenge to launch on Xbox Live and PSN around the same time.
Batman: Arkham City launched last October on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
The game went on to win multiple Game of the Year awards and the award for ‘Best Action Game’ at this year’s video game BAFTA awards.
UPDATE: Warner Bros. has confirmed that the Game of the Year Edition will launch in the UK on September 7th, and that Harley Quinn’s Revenge will launch worldwide on May 30th on Xbox Live and PlayStation Network.
