Microsoft has revealed Avatar Kinect – a new service and feature that recognises facial expressions translating them to your Xbox Avatar.
Revealed during Microsoft’s CES 2011 keynote, Avatar Kinect can read everything from your smile, laugh and even raised eyebrows.
A video showed the service being used between friends allowing Avatars to chat in a social platform.
Friends can gather and chat in ’15 creative locations’ and record and share their discussions on social networking sites.
We noticed that the feature appears to require its users to be sat down to function.
Avatar Kinect will be available via Xbox Live exclusively for Gold subscribers this Spring.
