Community events and playlists to continue in the lead up to next game.
With the reveal of a new Gears of War game coming on June 4th, Epic Games has confirmed that it has no more downloadable content planned for 2011′s Gears of War 3.
Epic Games’s Rod Fergusson broke the news on Twitter saying: “with the announce of the new Gears game, I can confirm that there’s no more DLC for Gears 3.”
It will continue to support the game with community events and playlists.
“we’re still having Gears Weekends and community events and playlists,” confirmed Fergusson.
“Lots of fun still to come!”
Gears of War 3 launched in September of last year with a slew of downloadable content ready day one.
It was one of Microsoft’s many first-party offerings to use the Season Pass program that allowing players access to four waves of downloadable content after the game was rleased for a one-off fee of 2400 MS points.
This included map packs, unlockable characters, and a prequel chapter called ‘Shadow of Ramm’.
