Out of the blue announcement incoming?
Dreamcast swansong Sonic Adventure 2 may be heading to Xbox Live Arcade according to the latest Xbox Live Marketplace itinerary.
The latest line-up of avatar items reveals that items from the Dreamcast game will be available to kit your avatar out with from June 5th.
It’s also possible that the XBLA version may be the Battle version released on the Nintendo Gamecube in 2002, which features expanded multiplayer modes and technical enhancements over the Dreamcast original.
It’s worth noting that the version of Sonic Adventure that was ported to XBLA in 2010 was the DX version.
Sega has not officially announced that Sonic Adventure 2 will be heading to XBLA but the company is continuing to spruce up its Dreamcast classics for current generation systems.
Sega is currently lining up Jet Set Radio for a summer release on digital platforms and digital versions of Skies of Arcadia and Shenmue 1 and 2 have been hinted at previously.

I hope it does get a digital release on Xbox Live, and I hope the same will happen to PlayStation Network.
We’d say the chances of a PSN version are likely if the 360 version goes through. Hopefully Sega will announce something soon.
