Sainsbury's has announced that it will be selling the standard edition version of Modern Warfare 2 for £26 on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, shaving a colossal 53% off of the game's official £54.99 RRP.
ASDA, meanwhile, will be selling the game at £32, while Tesco is offering it up at £25 when bought with any other chart title.

Tesco offered up FIFA 10 for £25 on its weekend of release, which sparked criticism from rival independents, while ASDA sold Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising for £27 from day one.
Modern Warfare 2, which goes on sale tomorrow, is expected to smash any previous sales records and go on to become the biggest entertainment release of all time.
