The Xbox 360 platform has long been dominated by hardcore games, such as Halo and Call of Duty, but Microsoft has wanted a big bite of the casual gaming cherry, long been dominated by Nintendo, for some time.
Well Microsoft's time could be coming very soon with the launch of Project Natal, the RGB camera that boasts a depth sensor and a multi-array microphone enabling you to play games through the use of sight, sound and motion.
Speaking to G4TV, Xbox 360 Product Manager, Erin Hofto, has confirmed that the first games for Natal will be aimed at the casual gaming audience.
On showing a tech demo of Natal at a recent press event, Erin said: "What you see here is just the beginning, this game is about 12 months old, but we do see the first titles for being very similar in design: fun, simple and family orientated."
With developers only recently jumping on board and supporting Natal we can expect many of the first titles to also be fairly simple in design as developers get to grips with the technology. It's going to be some time before we see Natal's real power being harnessed for some of Xbox 360's hardcore games.
