Crytek UK, formerly known as Free Radical Design, has trademarked the name 'Self Defense" for an upcoming video game. Alongside the name comes a very simple logo showing a red silhouette of a man holding his fist out.

First guess would be that the makers of Timesplitters and Haze have a new shooter on the way, but the simple logo design suggests that it could be something life-style orientated, perhaps an interactive game that uses Microsoft's and Sony's upcoming motion-controllers? Could this be the first game that teaches self-defense to people in the comfort of their own homes?

We'll have to wait and see, but Project Natal and PlayStation Move certainly seem be an ideal accompaniment to this sort of project and such a game could be a big money spinner for all involved.

Gamerzines has contacted Crytek UK for a response to the rumour.
