New characters announced so far include Juri, Cody, T. Hawk, Dee Jay and Adon. As well as new characters, this version marks the return of the car bashing bonus levels and adds new Ultra Combos. The online gameplay is also set for improvement and promises better matchmaking.

Lost Planet 2Lost Planet 2 is coming on May 18th in both Europe and North America, which is a Tuesday and is perhaps an unlikely date for a European release. Expect it on the following Friday would be our bet. Regardless, the game is the follow up to the snow bound, mech. suited third person shooter that sold more than 2.3 million copies. The big feature this time around apart from a move away from purely snowy environments, is the 4-player coop. Perhaps what worked so well for 2-players in Resident Evil 5 will work twice as well for Lost Planet 2. The game promises the usual new weapons, suits and bosses that we would expect from a sequel.
Lastly, Capcom reiterated that Monster Hunter Tri will be coming to Europe and North America in April and will be published by Nintendo in both territories. The Monster Hunter series has almost single handedly given the PSP a reason to exist in Japan, although the Monster Hunter phenomenon has never really caught on over here. Capcom are hoping that the Wii version with its 4-player online coop and story modes will make for an easier introduction into what is a very hardcore game.
