With motion controls being all the rage this year, creative director Kudo

Tsunoda has said that the Nintendo Wii had no impact on Microsoft's Kinect.

"Not really. Even if Nintendo Wii had never come along the fact that people were having trouble with these super complicated controller it felt like that problem would have gone away if the Wii hadn't been invented," said Kudo.

"Everybody understood on our console that there's lots of people love controller games and that's great we have a great controller for those but also lots of people love to play on Xbox but just can't because of the controller. That really has nothing to do with what went on with the Nintendo Wii."

Kinect launches in Europe on November 10th at the RRP of £129.99.
