Bungie have announced that they'll be rewarding gamers who played the original Halo on PC by outfitting them with some "visual flair" in Halo: Reach.
"The reward is a small "visual flair" as was described during the last days of Halo 2 for players of that game," said Bungie speaking on their official forums, and will be available to players who played Halo: Combat Evolved on either PC or Mac.
Don't expect too much, though. According to Bungie, the reward is "not armor or anything in the Armory".

Xbox users are going to be missing out though on the reward, though. Bungie claim that they "have no way of telling if you've played the Xbox version, so that isn't included here." Damn.
Word of warning though if you haven't played the original Halo on PC yet; don't go rushing out to buy a copy today to get in on the reward. Bungie say that the reward has been designed for "people (that) have been part of a certain Halo community for a while", and it will only be available to users who activated their key before May 26th 2010.
If that's you, look out for more on the reward in the build-up to the game's launch on September 14th.
