EA has announced that a 'Ferrari Racing Pack' for Need For Speed Shift will be available to download from Xbox Live next Tuesday, adding a whole host of Ferrari supercars and 46 new Ferrari-specific challenges into the game.

First screens of Need For Speed Shift's Ferrari Racing Pack.Costing 800 Microsoft Points (6.80 GBP/10.00 USD), the Xbox 360-exclusive DLC pack will feature an additional 125 Gamerpoints for players to rack up when it launches on February 16th as well as the following 10 Ferraris:

2.2005 Ferrari F430 Spider
3.2005 Ferrari FXX
4.2005 Ferrari Superamerica
5.2006 Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano
6.2006 Ferrari F430 Challenge (Online/Quick event only)

EA tells us that each of the 46 new challenges have been designed specifically with the Ferraris in mind, and that players will be able to try their hand at new hot lap, eliminator and endurance events, as well as a world tour. You'll also be able to race each Ferrari online.
"Need for Speed is recognized globally for showcasing amazing cars, including some of the world's most desirable high-performance vehicles," said Keith Munro, vice president at EA. "We are thrilled to be partnering again with Ferrari."
The last title to feature Ferraris was 2002's Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit 2, but is this a hint that Ferraris will be included in the starting line-up of future Need For Speed games? Watch this space..
