The latest issue of Official Xbox Magazine has unveiled a new shooter from some of the developers behind cult PS2 hit Black. Dubbed Body Count the game is currently being developed by Codemasters Guildford, and is sure to include plenty of cinematic shooting action.

Headed by Stuart Black, many gamers are sure to be excited at this spiritual sequel. Especially when you consider the charismatic game director's damning verdict on current FPS trends last month, declaring cover shooters as "Fucking boring."

So far the only confirmed platform is the 360 but judging from Codemasters most recent shooting franchises, we can surmise that it may appear on PS3 and PC as well.

GamerZines has contacted Codemasters for comment and we'll update you with their response.
