The divisive but beautiful Bayonetta has done great business for Sega, shifting 1.1 million in the main territories since its release, making it Sega's second-most popular game of last year.
Platinum's actioner was a distant second behind the all-conquering Mario And Sonic At The Olympic Winter Games. Here's the top 5

The Bayonetta figures may actually be slightly off, seeing as it didn't release in Western territories until early January 2010, but nevertheless, the sales bode well for a sequel, and lend credence to Sega's belief in the leftfield studio.
