DICE's Gordon Van Dyke has said that Bad Company 2's traffic during its opening weekend has been "400% higher than any other Battlefield's peak simultaneous users", resulting in some of the server outage reported over the past few days.
"All teams are actively engaged in diagnosis and remediation," said Van Dyke.

Bad Company 2's producer also confirmed that the game had seen server outages across all three formats, saying that the multiplayer component on the Xbox 360 version had been "severely impacted" throughout the weekend.
Servers "should be" back online now commented the producer, which they are; we've just checked.
