Microsoft have been talking about the 360's living room potential for a while and to compliment their multimedia ambition Sky TV has finally launched on the console.

The lowest package is the Entertainment pack for £15.99 a month and includes Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, Sky News, MTV One and a range of other channels. But to upgrade to the good stuff- you know the content that's worth paying for- you can also go for the following deals, all of which include the Entertainment Pack:

£25 - Sky Sports 1 OR Sky Sports 2 Sky Sports Xtra

£34 - Sky Sports 1, 2, 3 Sky Sports Xtra

£24 - Sky Movies Screen 1 OR Screen 2

£32 - Sky Movies Screen 1 Screen 2

£33 - One movie channel one sports channel Sky Sports Xtra

£38 - One movie channel all sports channels Sky Sports Xtra

£41 - All Sky Sports and movie channels

£9 per month extra - ESPN

At the moment a subscription only service is being offered but Microsoft have told us that on demand content will become available in the future, starting at one pound for a specific episode of a show. We are definitely a fan of this option and the promise of watching the penultimate series of Lost on our Xbox could be too intriguing to pass up.

It'll be very interesting to see how many people go for this offer and I'm sure Microsoft will be telling us all about it during next years E3.

With Microsoft supporting Sky content and Sony with their version of the BBC's iPlayer it seems as though consoles really do belong in the living room. We aren't sure what Twitter and Facebook integration means though...
