Rockstar's Twitter feed promised 'lots of announcements' yesterday. What we got was new shots of GTA: Chinatown Wars on PSP, a new trailer for forthcoming Timbaland-featuring music creation tool Beaterator (also on PSP), and an announcement of a trailer for The Ballad of Gay Tony, the forthcoming DLC pack for the 360 version of GTA IV. The new footage will be available on September 1st.

Because the image accompanying the details of the Gay Tony trailer shows someone falling out of a helicopter. And while the image is too dark to clearly tell, it looks very much like he's wearing a parachute, and that the fall is entirely of his own choosing.
Base jumping was one of the most enjoyable pursuits in San Andreas, so if this image is to be believed and skydiving is to be part of Gay Tony (and hopefully it's not just a one-mission thing and you can do it any time) then this is cause for celebration. We like checking out Liberty City from the skies, flying over Rockstar's masterful creation in a stolen chopper - but it'll be even better to dive down between the skyscrapers, slowing our descent by pulling the ripcord and seeing that wonderfully detailed world slowly come into focus.
We've contacted Rockstar for confirmation that parachutes are very much in, and we'll update this story if we hear back. The Ballad of Gay Tony will be released on Xbox Live Arcade on 29th October. Bring it on.
