Fancy yourself as a bit of a Hiro, do you? Well, this Wednesday you'll get the chance to join said martial artist and his similarly diminutive chums Futo and Suzume as they "embark on an epic and electrifying quest to restore harmony to a world on the brink of chaos", it says here.

PlayStation 3 owners will have to wait an extra day to get their stealth on - the Mini Ninjas demo arrives on PSN this Thursday instead. If you're lucky enough to be in Cologne this week for GamesCom and you're a PC owner, you can even get your hands on a free demo from Square-Enix's booth (B54 in Hall 6, for those that are interested). Basically, there's no excuse NOT to be playing this by Thursday night.

A demo at this stage suggests two things to us - that Square-Enix Europe is confident of the game's quality, but is hoping that an early demo will refresh the memories of those for whom the game might otherwise have fallen off-radar.
