Fable 3 was announced at GDC in August 2009. It has been confirmed as being released for Xbox 360, rather than the next generation of Xbox. There's no word yet as to whether it will try and incorporate the Natal technology that Molyneux is working on in another game.

When we interviewed Molyneux, he said that Albion would never get modern weaponry, but it's hard to see how the flintlock pistols won't be upgraded to something more resembling a rifle and revolver if we are moving forwards in time again.
Revolution is the theme of Fable 3, with the player required to galvanise the people of Albion into rising up. There's no word on how this will work and whether you will get to control or order about groups of people this time around. Molyneux did hint before the announcement that future Fable games may not even be RPGs, which fits with his aim of widening the gameplay that started with Fable 2. Lionhead says "In this new adventure, players will witness tyranny, poverty and injustice plague their land. They will see a people divided, and they will be compelled to stand up for change. They will also be forced to answer a question: What would you sacrifice to secure the crown of Albion?"
Expect Fable 3 then to have the same RPG elements, but with the game dabbling in more strategic gameplay as well as the economic modelling from Fable 2 to be improved. It seems Molyneus wants to bring some of the gameplay from his previous games into Fable 3.
