"Mine's bigger than yours," no seriously it is. We're talking about your achievement score, of course, and yours can be just as big as ours if you follow a few simple steps.

Okay, so achievement points are supposed to be a measure of your dedication and skill on a game, but there's nothing wrong with getting a few easy points without resorting to cheating. A weekend rent of one of the games listed below is likely to bag you a thousand points easily without that much skill needed or an investment of many hours. Put a few weekends aside and you'll be creaming those points in.

Here are just some of the games that are worth keeping an eye out for in the used-game sections at your local video game store. Generally, it's the family-friendly titles that will help you gain the most points quickly, though there are a few exceptions.

1) Night at the Museum 2

With just 5 hours investment you should easily be able to pick up the 37 achievements totally 1000 points awarded for just progressing through the storyline. You'll also have to hunt for some collectibles, but it's not difficult, just make sure you search each are thoroughly before moving on to the next level.

2) Avatar: The Last Airbender

Gamers have long been taking advantage of the easy 1000 points in Avatar. The developer only included 5 achievements that will take up no more than 5 minutes of your time to unlock them all. Head to YouTube and search for Avatar: The Last Airbender videos, where you'll find plenty of walkthroughs on how to gain them from a quick bout of button-mashing.

3) Bourne Conspiracy

This is a great game to play, boasting plenty of blockbuster action moments, but it's also a short game with 1000 easy achievement points up for grabs. Just follow the storyline and you'll unlock most of them, but there are also 20 secret achievements. Just Google Bourne Conspiracy achievements and you'll see what they are; there are also a number of quick guides on the net that will help you unlock them quickly without a lot of effort.

4) Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

There are no tricks here, just play through the whole of the single player game and you'll unlock every achievement bagging yourself a tidy 1000 points in approximately 4 hours.

5) King Kong

King Kong is the undisputed King of the easy achievement points and one of the first Xbox 360 games to hand them over on a plate. You have to do nothing other than to play through the game. Just choose the lowest difficulty setting and breeze through.

6) Fight Night Round 3

Choose any difficulty setting and you'll bag around 150 points for each fight you win. Complete the single player mode and you'll be 1000 points richer.

7) CARS

Pick up this Disney Pixar movie-spin off and 1000 points will be yours for winning races and completing levels. It's a kid's game so winning is very easy.

8) Terminator Salvation

A popular game in 2009 for achievement boosting, Terminator Salvation hands them over if you just play through the game. You'll have to play it on hard difficulty if you want 1000 though.

9) Eat Lead The Return Of Matt Hazard

You won't have a lot of fun getting these points (it's not a great game) but you should get most of them in your first play through just for getting on with it and moving through the levels. Check out an achievement list online and you'll see that some of them unlock for doing the simplest of things, like pressing the pause button during the game.

10) LOST: Via Dormus

This game clocks in about 5 hours if you don't go off exploring and check out some of the walkthroughs online, which will save you a lot of frustration. Just make sure you have a list of the achievements handy as you play through because if you miss one it can take you ages to return to an area. 1000 points are yours for an afternoon's work.
