Turn 10 asks the Community for DLC Ideas -

Forza 3 definitely has its roots in the car community and to prove this over the past week Turn 10 asked the dedicated car blog Jalopnik to suggest what they want to see in the 360's best simulated racer. Even though voting is now closed it's very interesting to see which cars were included and which ones weren't. Unfortunately 'The Love Bug' didn't get the votes that many (including us) wanted, but at least the DeLorean DMC-12 got final approval for a future DLC pack.

Violence in games is a subject that rears its ugly head now and then, despite gaming slowly becoming more accepted by the mainstream media. This documentary, which can be watched for free by following the link on the right, is one of the more balanced feature length investigations into gaming's influence on the more impressionable members of society. Just make sure you ignore the outdated presentation and you might find it interesting to hear from politicians, parents and games developers themselves.

Bruckheimer Games Stuck in the Past -

Presidents of game companies are usually good people to listen too, but occasionally some comments emerge which are so unbelievably mislead that we wonder how they got their position in the first place. It wouldn't be so bad if Bruckheimer Games were more than a "game incubation studio", but hearing their president explain that the rest of the industry needs to be more ambitious and not rest until certain titles sell fifty million on one platform is best summed up as naive. Jay Cohen rounds up his presentation by concluding that publishers should give up targeting the hardcore and instead focus on the more casual market. Obviously Mr Cohen isn't being updated on third party software sales for Nintendo's Wii.
