As much as we like Wii peripherals it sometimes seems that they aren't fully utilised by Nintendo. After the initial binge of balance board compatible games now our white monstrosity is safely filed away in a cupboard, just waiting to see the light of day.

We aren't suggesting that the same might be said of the Motionplus in the future but the way things are going it doesn't look too hopeful. That said Miyamoto has been talking up Nintendo's 1:1 motion support technology in a Q&A session translated by Gamelife.

"In this (installment of the series), we're using MotionPlus to make you feel much more like you're actually fighting while holding a sword in your hand," Mr Miyamoto explained.

Twilight Princess was definitely missing some proper sword swinging action and with more sensitive motion controls fishing will be even better.

Unfortunately Miyamoto didn't have anything to say regarding the story but his continued public discussions regarding the next chapter, mean that development is still in fully swing.

Hopefully we'll hear more information about the new Zelda sooner rather than later.
