Mega Man 10

Mega Man 10 heads up a better than average update for Nintendo Wii's digital shop channel. Mega Man 10 is another of Capcom's games that seek to emulate the look and sound of their NES era hits. Mega Man 9, which was released last year, was viewed with very rose tinted glasses with many reviewers stating that it was the best Mega Man ever. Mega Man 10 will hit PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 over the coming weeks. 1000 points.

Bit. Trip Void

The other WiiWare release this week is Bit. Trip Void, which has been out in North America for a few months and is now finally available in Europe. Bit. Trip Void is another in the much loved series of games that simplifies a gaming concept to its simplest form and then adds in aural interactivity to create something hypnotic. Here you control a black blob and when touched by other black blobs you increase in size and when you touch white blobs you shrink. The challenge becomes increasing your diameter, whilst remaining nimble enough to avoid the geometric shapes that float around. 600 points.

Zaxxon

Lastly, the Virtual Console service had the Sega arcade game, Zaxxon added this week. Whilst this now seems very anachronistic, it was a hugely impressive game at the time and is probably the best way to experience this isometric 3D shooter. If you frequented the arcades in 1982 then this is probably a must have. 500 points.
