GI.biz today confirmed that Ant and Dec will be fronting a massive promotional campaign for Nintendo this holiday season, with a wave of advertising running from mid-October through to Christmas.
The popular pair will be starring in the ads alongside members of the Great British public, with prominent primetime slots for games such as Professor Layton and Pandora's Box and The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Trackers.
The family-friendly entertainers seem to fit the Nintendo ethos perfectly, an opinion echoed by Nintendo UK's general manager, David Yarnton.

As for the Geordie twosome themselves, apparently they're long-time Nintendo fans, with Ant profession a love for Mario Kart 64 to Eurogamer, while Dec opts for Wii Sports as his choice for family entertainment. It seems the quirky beats of the Beyonce-sponsored Rhythm Paradise currently have the pair obsessed - expect that game to get another airing in the run-up to the festive season, too.
It seems that Ant and Dec may yet get to star in their own Nintendo game in the not-too-distant future, too - GI.biz suggests the deal will include game development of some sort, but Nintendo isn't talking about exactly what that entails just yet.
"We're not talking about development yet - we're going to do that post Christmas," said a Nintendo spokesperson.
