Team Meat has announced that Super Meat Boy is no longer in development for Nintendo’s downloadable platform WiiWare.
Speaking at GDC last night, programmer Tommy Refenes confirmed that Super Meat Boy, despite being in the works since 2009, will not appear on WiiWare.
It was however confirmed that the indie developer had its hands on a 3DS development kit. Team Meat wouldn’t confirm that Super Meat Boy would make the jump to 3D but it is certainly a possibility.
Super Meat Boy is currently available on Xbox Live Arcade and PC.
