When was the last time you played on the Wii?
A new report conducted by www.MyVoucherCodes.co.uk revealed that almost half of the UK’s Nintendo Wii owners haven’t booted up their system’s in over six months.
That shocking statistic and we couldn’t help but think of the games some gamers have missed out on in the last six months.
Here’s the good, the bad and in some cases, the ugly of what you need to catch up on Wii owners:
Donkey Kong Country Returns (PlayZine Score: 9/10)
We said: "Familiar yet refreshing, frustrating and brilliantly so, Country Returns is a solid package that never fails to surprise and regularly peaks at platforming excellence" (PlayZine Issue 43)
Disney Epic Mickey (PlayZine Score: 7/10)
We said: "Disney Epic Mickey is original but half-basked in its execution. A stunning artistic direction is bogged down by dull chores that tin out the game’s better qualities. Disappointing but an extraordinary piece of art nonetheless." (PlayZine Issue 43)
GoldenEye 007 (PlayZine Score: 8/10)
We said: "Topping the original would take a miracle but Eurocom’s effort shows no shortage of care and admiration. GoldenEye is an entertaining shooter that should have diehard fans loosening the grip on their N64 cartridges." (PlayZine Issue 43)
Kirby’s Epic Yarn (PlayZIne Score: 9/10)
We said: "Kirby’s Epic Yarn crosses the boundaries of game into work of art whose effortless creativity will leave even the most hardened gamer swooning over its charms. Short and simple but too adorable to be overlooked." (PlayZine issue 45)
Sonic Colours (PlayZine Score: 6/10)
We said: "Cheesy dialogue, unwanted gimmicks and dogy controls diminish Colours’ achievement. Salvaging all the best bits of what can only be described as a wishy-washy decade, Sonic Colours miraculously pieces together something enjoyable"(PlayZine issue 43)
