The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is to remain a Wii-exclusive title confirms Reggie Fils-Aime shooting down rumours that the game could make the jump to the newly announced Wii U.
Leading up the E3 conference, gamers were curious to see if Nintendo would do another dual release for Zelda as they did previously with 2006′s Twilight Princess which appeared on both the Wii and Gamecube at launch.
Reggie Fils-Aime confirmed that Nintendo has no plans to do the same again with Skyward Sword simple dismissing the idea because “Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword was built to be played with a Wii controller”.
Series’ creator Shigeru Miyamoto opened the E3 press conference with a Zelda spectacle for the game’s 25th anniversary confirming that Skyward Sword was finally complete and would launch in holiday 2011.
